Review: Great Anniversary Parties
If your tired of the same old parties for anniversarys be
sure to read this book. I have tried some of the great ideas
and had many compliments on the ideas and asked where I
came up with the idea.I would highly recommend Robin's books
if a person is looking for the unusual and different ideas
and needs some help.
Review: An Informative and
Delightful Read
I was recently faced with the challenge of finding a special
way to celebrate my grandparents' fiftieth wedding anniversary,
while still honoring their request of no gifts. So, I set
out to the Internet and happily discovered Ms.Kring's Happy
Anniversary!
I was immediately taken with the effortless and engaging
writing and found the book a joy to read. A particularly
interesting aspect of the book was the explanations of anniversary
traditions and etiquette. Ms. Kring offers the reader numerous
creative and charming ideas for planning clever theme parties
that are bound to be the backdrop to cherished memories.
Thanks to Happy Anniversary! I was able to
give my grandparents a token of my love without cluttering
their closets. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking
for a thoughtful, imaginative, and memorable way to celebrate
any momentous occasion.
Review: Rekindle that romance
in your marriage.
Not only is this book interesting with the history behind
each symbolic anniversary gift, but it's like reading a
self-help book to rekindle romance between couples. The
book actually flows like a novel and lights a little spark
to help make thoughts move to excitement and fun instead
of just staying in a comfort mode with one's day to day
routine. My husband and I went on a cruise 2 years ago and
reading the menu for "The Titanic" theme brought
back wonderful memories of that very special experience.
It's a "must read" for planning special anniversary
fun or for interesting and informative pleasure reading.

An Anniversary to Remember: Years One to Seventy-Five (Paperback)
Review: Many Ideas for Many Anniversaries,
not just the 50th!
I found this book very helpful with many detailed ideas
for anniversaries 1 through 20, then by 5's to the 75th.
The first 20 years plus the 25th and 50th get more coverage
than the others. While other reviews of this book focus
on its coverage of the 50th anniversary alone, this book
helps with ALL the anniversaries! Very creative party ideas
by themes, gift ideas, menu ideas, etc. As I am not a party-thrower,
the one thing I would like is more couples-only ideas, although
there are some, and many of the group party ideas could
be adapted. Generally a fun, lighthearted book that treats
the milestone occasions with proper dignity, or gives you
optional casual ideas for even those!
Review: Summary, but no details
I too, am planning a 50th anniversary party for In-Laws.
I wanted and needed more detail. The book just briefly skims
over ideas as if the whole book is a summary of something
else. I got maybe, 1 or 2 suggestions which led me to use
my imagination, since no details are given.
Review: This book was very helpful!
My siblings and I had to plan my parents' 50th wedding anniversary,
and didn't know where to start. This book gave us helpful
pointers on everything from how to word the invitations
to how to handle the "no gifts, please" request.
When you're totally clueless, this book is a lifesaver!

Review: Nice book.
My parents got this book for my husband & me. I don't
know that I would have picked it out for myself, but it
serves its purpose beautifully. The cover & the box
are smooth & attractive; the pages are heavy-duty; the
illustrations are pretty; what little text there is is interesting
& useful.
It's especially nice, I think, that there are slots for
3" X 5" or 4" X 6" pictures. Unfortunately,
these aren't standard professional picture sizes, but that
was only a problem for us the first year or so; we don't
have professional photos taken very often.
I think it'll be a lot of fun to look back through all the
pictures and memories with our grandkids on our 50th anniversary.
Review: The perfect wedding gift!
I received this as a gift when I got married 8 years ago
and it continues to be my favorite gift to give those who
get married. It's fun to use, looks great on the coffee
table, and isn't too expensive.
Review: Great wedding or shower
gift!
I was given a wedding anniversay memory book on my 1st anniversary.
I LOVE IT!! The art is fantastic with beautiful colors and
the calligraphy is so elegant. I love the concept of the
book. Every year as I sit down to prepare the entry for
another year, I think back over all the wonderful moments
I have shared with my husband. I also think about our life
together and how our relationship is evolving. I wonder
what we'll look like and what we'll be doing when we've
been married 30, 40 or 50 years.
I purchased the wedding anniversary memory book as a shower
gift for someone who is getting married in October. I think
it is a great shower gift or wedding gift. I hope the new
bride will enjoy her memory book as much as I do mine.
Review: Exactly what I was
looking for...
After searching around for this type of book for my sister's
first anniversary, I was very happy to find this one. A
few years ago I had bought myself a book similar to this
at Hallmark, and I was disappointed to find out they no
longer carry it. This book is a great way to keep track
of your yearly happenings as a couple. There's a space for
a photo each year. It's a great gift idea!
Review: Great Present!
My friends LOVED this as a first anniversary present! It
was beautiful, the artwork was detailed, and it was paper
so perfect for a First Wedding anniversary.
We took a picture of all 3 of us, and it is
now the first entry in the book.Great buy!
Review: Good Suppliment for wedding
or shower gift
My husband gave me this book for our 1st anniversary. It
is a great way to document the years with minimal effort.
A picture and a few sentences about the year. I can't wait
to show my kids how their mom and dad looked when we were
first married. The artwork is beautiful and the sayings
are cute. I now buy this book as a suppliment to a wedding
or shower gift. IT is a great way to add a personal touch!
Book Description
From the 1st year's paper to the 65th anniversary's diamonds,
the years of marriage have long been ascribed a symbol in
the form of a traditional gift. But what do these symbols
mean? From the creators of The Meaning of Flowers and The
Meaning of Herbs comes The Meaning of Wedding Anniversaries,
a beautiful compendium of lore and wisdom. This lovely gift
book explores the significance behind the symbols, offering
meditations upon the years, past and future. Each poetic
entry is accompanied by an enchanting collage by acclaimed
artist Ann Field, as well as gift suggestions ranging from
traditional to uniquely creative. Whether a couple is just
starting out, or celebrating a milestone, The Meaning of
Wedding Anniversaries reminds us that these symbols aren't
just inspiration for gifts, but a means of honoring a lifetime
of love.

Book of Us : The Journal of Your
Love Story in 150 Questions (Hardcover)
Amazon.com
For the diehard romantic, there may be nothing so thrilling
as chronicling that one true love. The Book of Us presents
150 topics on the subject--ranging from "Before I met
you, my love life was..." to "One of the reasons
I think we lasted so long as a couple is that..." Like
David Marshall's earlier book, The Book of Myself, which
is also a keepsake, this book makes us wish it were prettier.
But it is the thought that counts, and a lot of thought
will go into turning these empty pages into something a
spouse, one's children, and then their children will cherish.
And not to fear: While this is a very sweet book, there
is also plenty of room here to ruminate on the less saccharine
aspects of life partnership: financial crises, humorous
escapades, parenting woes, and home-improvement projects.
A word to gay readers: One of the book's five sections focuses
on "Tying the Knot"; some of the questions specifically
address elements such as the bachelor party and the wedding
dress, but most of the questions are generic enough to apply
to any type of commitment ceremony. --Jane Steinberg
Review: Great if you use it correctly
I bought this book as a birthday gift for my fiance. We
have been together over 2 years and are getting married
in about 100 days.
I thought that this book would be very sweet if I filled
out everything up to the wedding/marriage part. However,
I think that this book might be a bit hokey if just bought
and given to someone blank. However, if you're willing to
start filling it out, it gives your companion an interesting
way to look at memories and will encourage him/her to fill
it out further.
I would not suggest getting this book if you
are only dating or if you are newly dating: it defines and
confines your relationship too much. But this is a great
book if you are a couple who are not always together. My
fiance lives in England, and we often enjoy sharing memories
of our courtship, our vacations, etc. This is a perfect
way for your partner to hear your voice and cherish memories
when he/she is alone, or when you are unavailable.
A good gift for someone/a couple who is romantic,
nostalgic, and interested in a little project or creativity.
Review: If you're buying this, you
know what you're in for
It'll be fun to look back at it in 40 years, but it's important
to realize that you're being confined to a set of specific
questions/topics. They're widely varied, and not all of
them may apply to you.
Perhaps the most important thing to realize
is that you're going to be forc.. errr... strongly encouraged
by your wife to define your relationship in 20-hand-written-line
increments, one page at a time.
It's hopelessly romantic, but all-in-all a
fun thing to look at later on.
Review: Adorable
I purchased this product for my boyfriend's birthday, and
it was exactly what I wanted. The questions regarding your
relationship make you think, without any chance of offending
or being too personal to write so others could possibly
see. It's easy to read, and it's just a wonderful gift to
record a special relationship with!!!
The only thing I would change is more writing
space!
Review: Loved it but needed two
I really do love this book, but there is honestly not enough
room for two people to have space to write. I bought the
book thinking that there would be a space for me to write
and a space for my fiance to write. I wanted us to take
turns, knowing that we'd each remember different details
and express things differently, but there is only one small
page for each question and the lines are spaced widely so
you don't really get much room. I love to write, especially
when the purpose is to remember things and descibe them
in enough detail that your words will make the events come
back years later. I am having trouble fitting everything
I want into this book (and the paper is a bit thin--you
can see the ink through it sometimes). But I have liked
the questions and organization of the book so much that
I am buying another for my fiance to fill in before our
wedding. We will fill them out separately and then give
them to one another as wedding presents.
Review: old timers
Our grown children gave us this book on our 50th wedding
anniversary. It seems they want to know the secret to staying
happily married for so many years! One thing we've always
tried to do is remember our blessings. Filling out this
journal helped us express our appreciation of each other
inspite of, or maybe because of, the rocky times. If our
50 years teach our kids something about a lasting marriage,
that feels good too. Thanks, kids!
Review: a wonderful journal to work
on together
This is a unique book and a great gift for newlyweds. Kind
of like the baby books you buy when you have children, this
is a wonderfual book for lovers to work in together and
chronical their love story.
