Wedding Kids": A how-to video for
your Ring Bearer, or ring bearer, Invaluable! (2000)
Book Description
Review:
Nothing else like it
This video helps take away any feelings of angst about a child
who will be participating in a wedding. Even though our ring bearer
was 7 years old, he still watched it and remembered the heal-toe
walk for going down the aisle. He was happy to know what to expect,
and both bride-to-be and mother-of-ring-bearer were happy to have
a way to get him as excited as we were about the special role
he would play on that day.
Review: Wedding Kids
This video is terrific! My niece (our Ring Bearer) loved it. She
practiced with the video and did a great job at our wedding. Now
I give this video as a bridal shower gift to all my engaged friends.
Review: Great idea!
Loved it! Our three year old Josh was ring bearer in Big Sis'
wedding and we got him Wedding Kids to get him prepped for the
Big Day. It's really well done, and he must have watched it a
dozen times. Good tips in the parent segment, too.
Funny aside...at the actual wedding (he did
great) Josh was looking for Einstein The Mouse from the video!
Now how about one on potty training!
The Ring Bearer (Hardcover)
The Ring Bearer (Hardcover)
This charming picture book would make a perfect gift for the youngest
gentleman in the wedding party.
Book Description
Robert loves bears. So he isn't surprised when his mom tells him
he is going to be the ring bear in his aunt Jane's wedding. Unfortunately,
his idea of what a ring bear is and his family's idea is not quite
the same!
Review: I needed this book
Since this book is out of print and nearly impossible to find,
I was panicked. My 3 yr old had just told me he was excited to
wear his bear outfit in my sister's June wedding. (...) This is
a great gift for that ring bearer in your wedding.
Review: Ring Bear a must buy!
This is a delightful, thoughtful creation. The author has masterfully
pieced together an idea that has come up in the minds of so many
youngsters--the misinterpretation of ring bearer as ring bear.
This is not only a superb gift for any ring bearer, but it is
also a great buy for all children. It is extremely humorous, yet
so realistic. A must have!
Review: Whimsically told story
artfully supplemented
The Ring Bear by N. L. Sharp is the story of Robert, a young boy
who loves bears - real bears and stuffed bears, bears in books
and even bear crackers to munch! So when Robert learns that he
is to be a "ring bear" in his aunt's wedding he is excited
- until he learns that his aunt isn't expecting a real bear! A
whimsically told story artfully supplemented with amusing color
illustrations by Michael T. Hassler, Jr., The Ring Bear is a welcome
and highly recommended addition to school and community library
picture book collections for young readers.

The Ring Bearer's Big Day (Hardcover)
Book Description
This bouncy tale follows our favorite Ring Bearer through the
entire Wedding process, from the day of the Engagement through
the last dance at the Reception. (This is a perfect companion
to: Our Little Flower Girl)
This charming and energetic tale is bothe Educational and Entertaining.
It's perfect for young boys between 3 and 9 years old.
The book is hardcover and painted in bold and
sassy colors. A section is provided in the back of each book for
Autographs and Pictures of the Big Day.
Review: Tedious for the adult reader, but somehow popular
with the kid
I hate to rain on the Ring Bearer's big parade, but this book
was a disappointement. The writing was at the high school level,
with illustrations apparently done by a middle schooler. The book
follows "Bobby", who has been invited to be the ring
bearer in his uncle's wedding. The plot is heavy on Bobby's misadventures
with falling out of trees and running around with his shoes untied,
and light on the actual responsibilities of a ring bearer. Our
four year-old has admittedly liked the book, however, and we've
read it to him often. I think he'll be prepared to be a ring bearer,
but probably not better prepared than if we had just sat him down
and talked him through it.
Review: SUPER BOOK FOR SUPER
BOYS!
We ordered this lovely book (and it's companion "OUR LITTLE
FLOWER GIRL") for our niece (age 6) and nephew (age 5). The
books were better than we expected and were well worth the price.
The kids thoroughly enjoyed them and acutally learned what to
do. Other people in our wedding party subsequently bought them
for their kids and are just as delighted. Thanks for carrying
both titles.
Review: Could have been a LOT
better
I was expecting more from this book, which I bought for my three-year
old ring bearer. The main character is semi-annoying, and the
book isn't very interesting. It does give the basics of what goes
on at and before a wedding, but I didn't think it explained very
much very well, and I didn't think the writing was particularly
good, either. And, the main character's name is "Bobby,"
which seemed annoyingly "typical-kid's-book-character-name."
Review: A great primer and keepsake,
too.
This book takes the mystery out of the "big day" for
young kids, many of whom may have not been to a wedding before.
It explains everything from tuxedos and rented shoes to limousines.
Illustrations are really beautiful, too. The ring bearer in the
story was a bit older than mine, but still relatable. I definitely
recommend.
Review: The Ring Bearer's Big
Day
We bought this book as a gift for the ring bearer in our wedding.
It helped him out when it came time for the big day. Sending it
ahead of time, especially for younger children, give the ring
bearer the chance to get over any fears.
Review: This book saved the "Day"
for us.
Our four year old son did his ring bearer duties splendidly because
of this book. He wanted to be just like Bobby, the main caracter.
It also kept him VERY occupied at the wedding with the autograph
section in the back (and people got a bang out of signing it).
