Wedding Kids": A how-to video for
your flower girl, or ring bearer, Invaluable! (2000)
Book Description
Review:
Nothing else like it
This video helps take away any feelings of angst about a child
who will be participating in a wedding. Even though our ring bearer
was 7 years old, he still watched it and remembered the heal-toe
walk for going down the aisle. He was happy to know what to expect,
and both bride-to-be and mother-of-ring-bearer were happy to have
a way to get him as excited as we were about the special role
he would play on that day.
Review: Wedding Kids
This video is terrific! My niece (our flower girl) loved it. She
practiced with the video and did a great job at our wedding. Now
I give this video as a bridal shower gift to all my engaged friends.
Review: Great idea!
Loved it! Our three year old Josh was ring bearer in Big Sis'
wedding and we got him Wedding Kids to get him prepped for the
Big Day. It's really well done, and he must have watched it a
dozen times. Good tips in the parent segment, too.
Funny aside...at the actual wedding (he did
great) Josh was looking for Einstein The Mouse from the video!
Now how about one on potty training!

Flower Girl (Hardcover)
Using rhyming verse, this sweet little book describes a wedding
from a flower girl's point of view. The pink-clad child shares
her experience from trailing rose petals down the aisle to waving
good-bye to the happy couple. Though the rhymes are sometimes
a bit soppy ("These are their vows:/To live without strife/To
be a good husband/To be a good wife"), the rhythm never falters.
The service shown is a religious one ("This is the pastor/And
this is the book"). Delicate watercolors done in pastel shades
punctuated by black and white capture the action. Less a story
than a catalog of what to expect as a flower girl, this book's
true purpose as a gift book is revealed in the inscription opposite
the title page. However, with the constant demand for this topic,
libraries may want to consider this title as an additional purchase.

(Orchard, 1999), Gail Herman's Flower Girl (Grosset & Dunlap,
1996), or Marc Brown's D. W. Thinks Big (Little, Brown, 1993).-Kathleen

Review: Great Little Book
This book is really good to present to the young ones the day
of the wedding to keep them occupied during the wait. It was in
excellent condition.
Review: great
This is the most wonderful children's book - my children loved
it!
Review: Great for the Little Angel
in Your Wedding
This book uses a catchy poem to keep the reader/listener's attention.
Great for "just learning to read" and young readers!
An excellent gift for any little petal carrying angel!

10 Neat Things About Being a Flower Girl (Hardcover)
Review: How Great to Have These
Books at My Wedding!
I was recently married and was given these books by a friend.
I had several children in my ceremony and I wanted to make the
day as special for them as it was for me. The faces on my little
flower girls lit up when I gave the books to them at the rehearsal
dinner. They read and re-read them that night; they would not
put them down! The day of the wedding the girls could not wait
to perform their duties and I honestly feel that the books helped
them understand the significance of the occasion. Even better,
they were good as gold and knew exactly what to do. These books
are great and were a wonderful way to wholeheartedly include the
girls in the ceremony, as well as give them something fun to do
at the boring rehearsal dinner!
Review: The best flower girl book out
there
Ms. Paine brings a warm, embracing tone coupled with an education
on the "responsibilities" of being a flower girl that
would have any little girl excited for her big role in this capacity.
The illustrations are beautiful and it is an easy read. I am an
event producer and can't keep enough of these in stock for my
brides. They are very well received and loved and I even have
friends of the bride calling wanting to know where to find these
books. Well worth buying!
Review: A great book for flower
girls
I've given this book to two of my nieces, each in a different
wedding, and they both loved the story and the beautiful illustrations
on every page. It's written with humor and is just right for little
flower girls under the age of 8. I also gave my 5-year-old grandson
"10 Cool Things About Being A Ring Bearer", the companion
book to "10 Cool Things About Being A Flower Girl",
and he thought it was "cool". These books are a steal
at the price and I highly recommend them.

Emily Is a Flower Girl (Reading
Railroad Books) (Paperback)
Review: Great book for a little girl.
We bought this book for our 3-year-old flower girl. It starts
out talking about Emily being asked by her aunt to be a flower
girl. It talks about Emily picking out her dress and special shoes
and discusses the flower girl's responsibilities in the wedding.
It's great because it also introduces a little boy as the ring-bearer.
In the book we gave our flower girl, we put stickers over all
of the names in the book and changed the names to match the people
in our wedding. So now our flower girl has read about the ring-bearer,
Nathan, several times and is looking forward to meeting him. The
book is very child friendly.
